The bootjack, which is of a rather flat open shell shape, comprises a face 10 formed by a virtually rectangular plate 11 and by a virtually trapezoidal end piece 12 whose small base 121 is an extension of one of the sides 111 of the plate to which it is joined, so forming a narrow neck 13, and whose large base 122 is interrupted by a recess 130 resembling an open V with the wide end outermost, and a projecting peripheral perimeter 20 surrounding this plate 11 and this end piece 12, save for at least that part of the large base 122 intersected by the recess 130; the free edge 21 of which is its support. This bootjack is suitable for all boots or similar items of footwear whatever their shape or size. <IMAGE>
