PURPOSE:To improve the fuel atomization performance by constituting an air bleed device suitable to a variable Venturi-type carburetor with a fuel orifice, an expanded flow passage joined above it and connected to a fuel feed section, and an air orifice opened between both of them. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is in operation, the fuel in a fuel reservoir 13 communicated to a float chamber 16 is pre-mixed with air in an air bleed device 9 by the suction negative pressure then is sucked into a suction passage. At this time, if an acceleration pedal is depressed, a throttle plate 4 is rotated to increase the intake air flow, the absorption force of a movable piece 3 in a negative pressure chamber 7 is increased, the movable piece 3 is moved downward against a spring 42, and the Venturi area is expanded. In this case, the said air bleed device 9 is constituted with a fuel orifice at the upper end of a fuel pipe 19, an expanded flow passage 21 joined above it, and an air orifice 22 formed on the periphery between both 20, 21 and communicated to the upper section of the suction passage with an air pipe 23. |
