PURPOSE:To change the resonance frequency and arbitrarily control the resonance frequency of an ultrasonic vibrator over a wide range by changing the position to transmit the vibration of an electromechanical transducer to an elastic body and changing the relative positions of a drive part and the elastic body. CONSTITUTION:When alternating voltage of approximately the desired frequency is applied to the electrodes 23 and 24 of a fixed ultrasonic vibrator 11 to vibrate a piezoelectric body 21, an elastic body 26 resonates in a bending vibration mode as shown by the broken lines. When a bolt 27 is tightened slightly, the beams 25a of a vibrator 25 incline further, the contact points of the beams 25a and the elastic body 26 move outside from the center-side of the bolt, the bore seems to enlarge outside, and the frequency of bending vibration heightens. The tightening force of the bolt 27 is regulated and the resonance frequency of the elastic body 26 is changed for resonance with the desired frequency. |
