PURPOSE:To produce a relief plate in a very simple manner by a single heating and pressing process using a thermal needle or the like by a method wherein a plate material is made of a shape memory resin having fine projections arranged in a to matrix form on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A shape memory resin made of a styrene-butadiene copolymer is heated to above its shape memory temp. (120 deg.C), and a fine projection group is formed in a dot matrix form using a female die of the fine projection group form by an injection molding method. With the use of a printing plate material 2 made of the shape memory resin having fine projections 1 arranged in a dot matrix form, fine projections 11 on the surface of the plate material corresponding to an image pattern are pressed while being heated to its glass transition point (60 deg.C) by using a thermal needle or thermal head 3. Thereafter, the projected parts and recessed parts are formed on the surface of the plate material corresponding to the image pattern, whereby a relief plate is produced. |
