PURPOSE:To improve yield of sheet and efficiency of making sheets of rubber by a method wherein the rotating speed of a roll is increased or decreased in response to the amount of increase or decrease of current value compared with the reference current value of a variable speed motor to drive the roll. CONSTITUTION:A variable speed motor 4 is normally driven through a motor drive unit 6 at a speed set by a main speed setter 5. The reference motor current value and correction constant, both of which are determined experimentally, are filled in a data file 9. The current value to drive the motor 4 is sent through an A/D converter 7 to an arithmetic processing unit 8 so as to be compared with said reference motor current value in order to obtain the correction constant, which is called from the data file 9 in response to the amount of increase or decrease compared with the reference current value in accordance with the kind of rubber. The obtained correction constant is sent in the form of correction signal to an adder-subtractor 10 so as to increase or decrease the speed determined by the main speed setter 5 by the speed, which corresponds to the correction signal, in order to change the speed of the variable speed motor 4 through the motor drive unit 6. Natural rubber, which is kneaded as described above, is charged from a hopper 3 to an extruder 2 so as to be fed to a calendar roll in order to manufacture batch sheet 11. |
