<p>PURPOSE:To provide a metal working oil compsn. contg. a specified lubricating oil component, a specified water-sol. macromolecular compd. and sulfur (compd.) having an unshared electronpair, which shows stabilized distribution of particles with a relatively large diameter under agitation, has excellent lubricating performance, is least affected by contaminants and undergoes little changes with time. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. contains as essential ingredients a lubricating oil component selected from among mineral oil and fatty acid ester having a viscosity of 5-300cSt at 40 deg.C, a water-sol. macromolecular compd. contg. cationic or basic nitrogen atoms in the molecule [e.g. a compd. of formula I (where R1 is H or CH3; R2 and R3 are each H or 1-3C alkyl) or formula II (where R1, R2 and R3 are the same as above; m<1> and n<1> are each 1-3) or formula III (where R1 is the same as above; R4 is alkyl or alkylol)], and sulfur or its compd. having an unshared electropair. The compsm. has particles with a relatively large diameter in stable particle size distribution under agitation, exhibits high lubricating and rolling performance, undergoes little changes with time and shows minimized incorporation of soiled oil and foreign substances during operation, thus producing workpieces with clean surfaces.</p> |
