<p>A data acquisition system for use with a computer includes an interface unit (305) for interfacing with a computer (100); a control data memory (20) for storing control data which is associated with controls for the computer; and a file data memory (30) for storing file data which is to be acquired by the computer. A processing system (40) is provided for controlling operation of the control data memory (20) and file data memory (30) and for controlling transfer of data to the computer (100) from the file data memory (30) via the interface unit (305) via a controllable data bus (301) and an address/control bus (302).</p> |
