PURPOSE:To provide a homogeneous and high concentration multi-component oxide precursor by reacting a Si alkoxide with an Al alkoxide in a specific state, reacting the reaction product with an alkaline earth metal flakes, hydrolyzing the reaction product and subsequently polymerizing the product. CONSTITUTION:A Si alkoxide is partially hydrolyzed and subsequently added to an Al alkoxide solution or dispersion comprising an Al alkoxide dispersed or dissolved in an alcohol or in an organic solvent containing the alcohol to react with each other at the reflux temperature of the solvent. The prepared transparent solution is reacted with the flakes of an alkaline earth metal at the reflux of the solvent. The reaction is continued until the metal is reacted with the alcohol into an alkoxide, reacted with Al in the solution into a complex and subsequently stabilized in the solution, thereby providing a homogeneous solution. The solution is hydrolyzed with water added thereto and subsequently polymerized to provide a homogeneous sol, gel or powdery multi-component oxide prepolymer. |
