PURPOSE:To provide an copying machine with an input function by switching the copying machine to a failure operation mode when an input circuit is failed to change the corresponding relation between the input circuit and its signal storing address in a memory, and using another input circuit. CONSTITUTION:A key input from a console 2 is inspected and diagnosed whether it is normal or not in a prearranged address correspondingly assigned to an RAM 5 respectively. If it is decided that an input circuit is abnormal, the abnormal status is displayed on a display device on the console 2. At that time, the operator checks whether a copying machine is switched to a failure operation mode or not and, if the machine is not switched to the failed mode, reads an input to switch the machine to the failed mode. Read input signals are stored corresponding different addresses of an RAM. Consequently the copying machine is controlled by the signals read in the specified addresses of the memory 5. |
