PURPOSE:To contrive to elongate the service life of all parts, whch are turned to be rotary type, by a structure wherein a fly weight linkage means, which acts to advance a slidable pulley toward a fixed pulley against a spring means, is provided. CONSTITUTION:Centrifugal force due to the rotation of a spider 46 works on a fly weight 84 so as to rotate a first link 76 counter clockwise about a pivot 74 and at the same time on a fly weight 82 so as to rotate a second link 78 anticlockwise about a pivot 70. With the increase of the rotational speed of an engine, due to the coupling effect of the centrifugal force, the links 76 and 78 rotate counter clockwise. Consequently, a slidable pulley assembly 44 moves toward the fixed rope pulley 30, resulting in, at first, preventing a V-belt 60 from slipping and, secondly, pushing forward the V-belt 60 radially and outwardly with respect to a shaft 22. |
