The invention relates to a still frame camera having a viewfinder device in which the object image projected onto an image plane by an objective (2) is scanned raster line by raster line by the sensor element row (22) of a CCD row array (21). For this purpose, the row array (21) is mounted on a slide (9) which is longitudinally displaceable by means of a spindle drive (12/13). As a viewfinder device, a mirror reflex device know per se is used. The movable mirror (16) is permanently arranged on the slide (9) in front of the row array (21) in the present case. In the starting position of the slide (9), the mirror (16) is located in the light path of the objective (2). During a scan, the slide (9) is moved in the direction of the arrow (P).
