PURPOSE:To obtain the toner for dry processing which is useful as one- component and two-component type developers by forming the toner of a binder resin, specific quaternary ammonium salt compd., beta type copper phthalocyanine, and carbon black as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The toner is formed of the binder, the quaternary ammonium salt compd. expressed by formula I, the beta type copper phthalocyanine and the carbon black as the essential components. In the formula I, R<1> is 1 to 8C alkyl group or benzyl group; R<2> and R<3> are 1 to 13C alkyl group; R<4> is 1 to 18C alkyl group or benzyl group; X is a hydroxyl group or amino group; Y is a hydroxyl group or hydrogen atom. The toner for dry processing having good positive chargeability is obtd. in this way and is well usable as the one- component type developer as it is or as the two-component type developer by being mixed with a carrier. |
