PURPOSE:To change the reproduction sound field independently of the environment of recording of an audio signal by recording the audio signal and the information relating to the reproduction of the audio signal on a same medium. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium for an audio signal has areas 4, 2 recording an audio signal and an optional control data and the information relating to the reproduction of the signal recorded on the area 4 recording the audio signal is recorded to the area 2 recording an optional control data. Moreover, one example of the information relating to the reproduction is the recording condition of the audio signal or the information relating to the sound field of the environment where the audio signal is recorded or the information relating to the sound field in the environment preferred to the reproduction of the audio signal or the information relating to the processing content of a digital signal processing unit. Even when the direct sound and the indirect sound are recorded in mixture, the revision of the acoustic environment or correction or the like are attained at the reproduction and the additional processing for the signal processing unit is decided automatically and the trouble of the user to control it is relieved. |
