PURPOSE:To obtain a safe and powerful vasodilator containing, as an active ingredient, a depsidone which is characteristically included in lichens. CONSTITUTION:The subject vasodilator contains, as an active ingredient, fumaric protocetraric acid which is included in Cetraria or Cladonia, and salazinic acid of formula II which is included in Parmelia. Said vasodilator has powerful vasodilating action, peripheral circulation improving action and hypotensive action, thus can be used as a hypotensor, peripheral circulation improver. In addition, when it is externally applied to skin, the blood circulation is promoted, thus it can be used as a hair tonic agent, hair growth improver and bath preparation. |
