<p>PURPOSE:To prevent optical fibers from being broken or from causing transmission loss by arranging a protective member to control the bending diameter of a composite cable to the bending position such as the suspension stop section or excess length processing section of the composite cable. CONSTITUTION:In laying a cable for an elevator a cylinder member 18a, the protective member 18, is arranged to a suspension stop section 12 and an excess length processing section 16 of a composite cable 17. Through the circular surface of this cylinder member 18a the composite cable 17 is bent, while a corner member 18d is arranged to a corner section 19 of the building against which the composite cable 17 abuts so that the composite cable 17 will abut against the circular surface of the corner member 18d and will not be directly brought into contact with the acute-angled corner section 19 of the building. Consequently in laying the composite cable 17, the bending diameter at the bending position where the composite cable is called for being bent is controlled by the circular surface having a curvature without phototransmission loss of the protective member 18. The breakage or transmission loss of optical fibers can thereby be prevented.</p> |
