PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC servo motor capable controlling highly precisely by decreasing cogging torque between a magnet and a stator iron core. SOLUTION: This AC servo motor uses two or more annular pole-anisotropic magnets divided in the axial direction in a rotor. The magnetic poles of the respective annular pole-anisotropic magnets divided are set, shifted by a prescribed angleθ' larger than a skew angleθdefined by the number of torque ripples generated per one turn of the rotor defined by the number of magnets and the number of slots of the iron core on the stator side. The prescribed angleθ' is an angle obtained by adding a value with magnetic interference between the respective magnets taking into consideration with respect to the skew angleθ.
