The equipment illuminates a working position, particularly for medical use. It comprises a supporting member (1) placed on the chest of the human body, and on which a lighting unit (2) is mounted. Lighting can be at low voltage, pref. by halogen lamp and the unit can having cooling fins and an interchangeable lens, together with a detachable snap connector to the member.
