PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an image recording apparatus that mechanically winds a cover film from a recording medium to which the cover film is adhered. SOLUTION: A recording medium station 53 comprises sheet setting sections each of which respectively sets a roll of each toner sheet 4' having a cover film 6 adhered thereto and a roll of an image receiving sheet 2' having a cover film 6 adhered thereto and cover film winding sections each being positioned in the vicinity of each of sheet setting sections. The sheet setting sections and the cover film winding sections are provided along the periphery of the recording medium station 53. The end of the cover film 6 which is peeled a little from the recording medium is fixed to a winding shaft 12 and then the cover film 6 peeled from the recording medium set to an insertion shaft 10 is wound around the winding shaft 12.
