PURPOSE:To obtain a complex which functions as an alpha-olefin polymerization catalyst and is useful as highly functional electronic material after polymerization by polymerizing an alpha-olefin in the presence of a catalyst comprising a specified perovskite compound complex. CONSTITUTION:The purpose complex is obtained by polymerizing an alpha-olefin in the presence of a catalyst comprising a perovskite compound complex prepared by doping a perovskite compound of ABO3 (wherein A is at least one group A element selected from among alkaline earth metals and Pb and B is at least one group B element selected from among Ti, Zr, Hf and Sn) with 0.1-3mol% oxide of at least one element selected from among rare earth elements, transition elements, Bi and Sb to coat the complex with the perovskite compound. This process gives a complex composed of the perovskite compound coated with the alpha-olefin polymer, and this complex has such a high volume resistivity that it can give a more highly functional ceramic derivative.
