Process for obtaining stamped sheet balls and balls for valves with spherical core obtained using said process, with which it is possible to resolve the drawbacks of balls obtained by machining and milling of solid pieces, which require specialized personnel, precision machinery and give rise to abundant loss of material, and to solve the problems which arise with tubular preforms, with the weakening caused by the removal of the corrugation at the ends, for partial closure of the starting preform, the process consisting in starting with sheet made from iron, steel and derivatives which, by means of pressing using a die, takes on the form of caps with a hole at their pole, which are connected via their edges by means of welding, with supply of material or without this, and with final machining in order to give the piece the exact measurements, and a milling operation in order to make in it a housing for the actuating spindle, plus any opposite hole for purging the ball. <IMAGE>
