<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmitter, that distributes contents through a digital satellite in a time different from actual time, so as to reproduce a program at a correct time, thereby transmitting contents information needing a long time through the use of a limited time and transmitting the contents information over a narrow frequency band. SOLUTION: A dummy packet, whose adaptation field includes a value of a dummy PCR(program clock reference) for decoding actual time and time ratio information of a transfer time to a actual time is prepared. In reception, time information at output is obtained from the dummy PCR and the time ratio information, and the time information at the output is added to a TS packet as a time stamp and the resulting packet is stored in a storage device, such as a hard disk drive. In reproduction while referring to the time stamp added at the recording, data are read from the storage device. Thus, the contents information transmitted on a time base different from the actual time can be reproduced on a correct time base.</p> |
