PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser pumping solid state laser light source of small size, low power, low cost and easy maintenance and control which outputs two linearly polarized lights wherein wavelengths are different a little and planes of polarization are perpendicular to each other. SOLUTION: A light outputted from a semiconductor laser for pumping is divided by using a polarization prism into a polarized wave in a horizontal direction and a polarized wave in a vertical direction with the same intensity. A light of one polarization mode is introduced in a resonator constituted of a pair of resonator mirrors into which laser medium is inserted, and a light of the other polarization mode is introduced in a resonator constituted of a pair of the other resonator mirrors into which the laser medium is inserted. Laser lights oscillated by the respective resonators are synthesized by using the other polarization prism in such a manner that planes of polarization of the two laser oscillation lights are perpendicular to each other, and outputted from a single mode fiber. |
