PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection mechanism between a developing device and a waste toner recovering container, by which the toner recovering container full with the recovered toner can not be attached again to the developing device and whose structure is simplified. SOLUTION: This connection mechanism for connecting detachably the developing device 1 to the waste toner recovering container 2 is provided with a boss part 7 fixed firmly onto the outer wall surface of the container 2, a rotary connecting member 6 having an engaging part 6a which can be freely moved forward/backward and freely engaged/disengaged with respect to the part 7 and receives the driving force to rotate around the axis of the part 7 from the outside and a contact interfering piece 6b fit onto the peripheral surface to face to the outside, an energizing means 8 for energizing the member 6 toward the part 7, a rotary shaft having on the end a joining part 11a which is pivoted by a casing 1d of the device 1 and engaged freely detachably with the part 6a of the member 6 and a projecting part 9 which is fixed firmly to the casing 1d and corresponds to the piece 6b of the member 6. |
