PURPOSE:To make a waveform data storage device correspond to each musical sound generator by providing an address control circuit which converts an address corresponding to key information into the use address format of a place where desired waveform data of the waveform data storage device is stored and obtaining the address format corresponding to the kind of the waveform data storage device. CONSTITUTION:The waveform data storage device 40 is stored with much waveform data previously and a frequency number is obtained by a frequency number circuit 6 with key information, timbre information, etc., obtained from an execution control circuit 3 and accumulated by an accumulating means 7. Then the output value of the accumulating means 7 and the output of a bank memory 5 are applied to an address control circuit 12 for conversion to the address format in a desired data storage device 4. An address control circuit 12 obtains control information corresponding to a musical sound generator previously from the execution control circuit 3, so the conversion to a specific address is performed. Consequently, the waveform data storage device is selected and used corresponding to the musical sound generator whatever format, e.g. ROM or D-RAM format the waveform data storage device has, and the address can be set. |
