<p>A viewer for examination of photographic negatives has an illumination device, a negative holder and possibly also a magnifier. The negative (8) can be viewed simultaneously with transmitted and reflected light, and is placed between two mirrors (1, 2) and viewed with transmitted light through both mirrors and with reflected light through one of the mirrors. The positive image obtained by transmission can appear in the lower part of the second mirror and the negative image obtained by reflection can appear in the upper part of this mirror. Both mirrors are preferably concave and the second mirror made similar to a bifocal spectacle lens.</p> |
