PURPOSE:To prevent other program in an IC card from being copied illegally or being broken down through a test program by executing a collation of a password code before executing the test program and enabling the execution of the test program only when the password code coincides. CONSTITUTION:In the course of a manufacturing process of an IC card, an intrinsic password code 51 is written and stored in an EEPROM 5 being a nonvolatile memory. In this state, before executing a test program, a collation of this intrinsic password code 51 and a password code inputted from the outside of a card is executed, and only when the coincidence is confirmed, the test program is executed. Also, in the EEPROM 5, a set confirmation code 52 is stored separately from the intrinsic password code 51, and from this set confirmation code 52, whether the intrinsic password code 51 is written and stored already or not is decided. |
