<p>PURPOSE:To prevent leak of binding agent to the surface of a luminous tube in using binding agent of a relatively low viscosity by providing a recess part in an aperture end part of a mouth of a discharge lamp consisting of the luminous tube of a linear form and the bulb mouth. CONSTITUTION:A discharge tube 3 has cathode leads 4a, 4b for external leads and an anode lead 5, these are connected with required positions respectively, and the cathode lead 4b is connected with a mouth shell part 11. A mouth 10a has a recess part 13 along the whole circumference of an aperture part 12. Binding agent 14 can thus be applied on the mouth 10a without dropping down when it is attached to the luminous tube 3 to be stored at the recess part 13, and the form of the binding agent 14 is maintained as it is after it is applied. Leak of the binding agent 14 to the surface of the luminous tube 3 can thus be prevented after assembling a lamp.</p> |
