RESIN COMPOSITE

摘要

An optical fiber is coated with a first layer of resin (I) having negative linear expansion coefft. and a second layer of resin (II) having positive linear expansion coefft. Pref. (I) is composed of highly oriented resin or liq. crystal polymers. The liq. crystal polymers are thermoplastic with linear expansion coefft. of -10-5-105 per deg.C. Pref. (II) has positive linear expansion coefft. of 10-4 per deg.C or less. The resin combination undergoes little distortion with temp. chamge.
