PURPOSE:To automatically adjust exposure every time a power source is turned on and to eliminate the need of frequent adjustment by projecting the light of a copying lamp to a detection paper, detecting the reflected light from the paper by an exposure sensor and controlling the exposure output of the copying lamp with an input signal from the exposure sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the power source is turned on, an original platen 1 is moved to a starting position and the light emitted from the copying lamp 2 is reflected by the detection paper for a reference monitor 18 and the reflected light is detected by the exposure sensor 17. An output signal from the exposure sensor 17 is inputted in a controller 19 and such an arithmetic operation that the exposure becomes optimum is performed so as to adjust the exposure output of the copying lamp 2. Therefore, the exposure need not be adjusted frequently because the exposure is automatically adjusted every time the power source is turned on. |
