PURPOSE:To maintain surely the closing state between the 1st body and the 2nd body when an original platen does not present in the prescribed position by providing a means for regulating the movement of a hook means which detains the 1st body and the 2nd body in a closed state, and a means for prohibiting the regulating operation of the regulating means when the same engages with an original plate. CONSTITUTION:When the operator rotates a handle 20 in an arrow (d) direction first in order to open bodies, a hook 14 rotates in an arrow (g) direction cooperatively with the same, and a regulating member 21 rotates in an (f) direction. When an original platen 1 does not present in the prescribed position, the member 21 continues to rotate in the arrow (f) direction without interference. The member 21 rotates up to the position where the hook part 21b thereof engages with the hook part 14b in one body with a hook 14 before the hook part 14a of the hook 14 disengages from a hole 15. The part 21b engages with the part 14b in said position and the rotation of the hook 14 is prohibited by the member 21. Thus, the part 14a of the hook 14 is kept engaged with the hole 15a and the opening of an upper unit 35 is prevented. |
