PURPOSE:To reduce frequency in the exchange of a developer, when the developer is used repeatedly, by using a specified developer and a specified replenisher. CONSTITUTION:In the development of a negative type photosensitive printing plate having a photosensitive layer contg. a photosensitive diazo compound and a high- molecular compound as principal components on the support, a used developer contains an org. solvent capable of dissolving or swelling the unexposed part and having <=10wt% solubility in water at ordinary temp. together with an alkali agent and water, and a replenisher contg. an org. alkali agent and water-soluble sulfite is used. For example, a developer consisting of benzyl alcohol, sodium carbonate, sodium sulfite, an anionic surfactant and water is used, and as the developing power is reduced, a replenisher consisting of diethanolaminae, sodium sulfite, benzyl alcohol and water is used. |
