PURPOSE:To obtain a film having a uniform fine gold color and superior corrosion resistance, by bringing Ni and Co into contact with a metal having a greater ionization tendency than Ni and Co in an aqueous soln. contg. Sn and Cu ions. CONSTITUTION:Ni and/or Co is brought into contact with a metal having a greater ionization tendency than Ni and/or Co in an aqueous soln. contg. at least Sn and Cu ions. For example, an Ni plate is brought into contact with an iron plate in said aqueous soln. Iron is ionized in the soln., and the transfer of electrons from the iron plate to the Ni plate is caused. Sn and Cu ions in the soln. bond with the electrons transferred to the Ni plate and deposit on the surface of the Ni plate. It is supposed that electroless plating can be carried out in said stages. Thus, a film of a gold color tone is formed on Ni, so the desired film can be obtd. |
