PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a moving material, by constituting the device so that a main body is prevented from being opened when the moving material, for example, an original table exists in a position other than a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine main body is provided with an original table movement stopping device 27, and a lever 17 is equipped in a part of the device 27. When the lever 17 does not drive an original table 1, the lever 17 is placed in a position to detain the original table 1 and engages with a step part 1a to prevent the original table 1 from moving for a constant length or more. When the original table is driven, the lever 17 is pulled downward by a plunger 27c to have no influence upon the reciprocating motion of the original table 1. An upward elastic force is given to this lever 17 by a spring 27b; and when the original table is not driven, the lever 17 engages with the step part 1a and is prevented from slipping down for opening of an upper main body 25. When the original table 1 is driven, the lever 17 is pulled in downward by the plunger 27c not to hinder the original table 1 in movement. Thus, the damage of the original table, namely, a moving material is prevented. |
