<p>PURPOSE:To equally execute melting and reduction of raw material in a furnace and to prevent damage of a tuyere and refractory in the furnace by using a top blowing lance besides primary and secondary tuyeres and injecting combustion aiding gas and fuel. CONSTITUTION:Coke layer 6 is formed at the lowest part in a converter 1 and on there, scrap layer 8 is formed. The combustion aiding gas and the fuel are injected from the primary tuyeres 2 and the combustion aiding gas is blown from the secondary tuyeres 3. The combustion aiding gas or the combustion aiding gas and the fuel are injected from the top blowing lance 5, and the lance 5 is descended as matching to the melting of the scrap 8. At the same time, the coke 6 and iron ore are continuously charged on the scrap 8 till completion of the melting. The raw material in the whole furnace is uniformly melted without remaining the unmelted raw material at the center part and the stable level-down of charging material is continued. Further, to the remaining material 11 in the furnace, the combustion aiding gas and the fuel are injected from the top blowing lance 5 to melt this and the top blowing lance 5 is rotated and descended to match to the melting.</p> |
