PURPOSE:To obtain an eye drop, consisting of vitronectin and having extremely effective treating effects on wounds in epithelium anterius corneae without side effects. CONSTITUTION:An eye drop obtained by adding a physiologically saline solution or buffer solution to vitronectin which is a glycoprotein having cell adhesion similar to that of fibronectin, preferably subjected to sterilization treatment in an autoclave and diluting the resultant solution to 0.1-500mug/ml, preferably 10-200mug/ml concentration. The eye drop is sufficiently administered in a dose of one drop (about 50mul) at a time several times a day.
