The pair of grips consists of two jaws (5,6) on the ends of a pair of handles (1,2). They are mounted on adjustable pivots (3). When the jaws (5,6) come together a lozenge shaped void (4) is formed between them, in which in opposite faces of the jaws are saw toothed. One handle (1) is equipped with a pivot (3), and the other handle (2) has a slot (12) in which the pivot can slide to different positions to set the jaws (5,6) wider or closer together.
