<p>The invention concerns polymer membranes based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a process for their manufacture and their use for ultrafiltration. The membranes are manufactured by known techniques from homogeneous solutions containing 5 to 50 wt.% of PVDF and 0.01 to 30 wt.% of sulphonic acids and/or their salts obtained by sulphonation of the polyether ether ketones of formula (I): -(-O-p-C6H4-O-p-C6H4-CO-p-C6H4-)n-, or by subsequent neutralization of the sulphonic acids. The membranes are then treated with methanolic solutions containing 0.1 to 5 wt.% of the above-mentioned sulphonic acids and/or their salts. The membranes obtained by this process are characterized by excellent hydrophilic properties, high thermal and mechanical stability and high transmembrane flows.</p> |
