Electronically protected holder for valuable documents, principally formed by a hollow body (1) that is open on one side, and a lid (3) that can close this open side of the body, characterised in that the holder is provided with electro-mechanical means (6, 16, 17) which allow the lid (3) to be locked; electro-mechanical means (18 through 27) which allow a destructive substance (26) to be released into the holder and an electronic control (5) for the activation of the aforementioned electro-mechanical means.
