The invention proposes a horizontal panel (21) which is mounted rotatably on a vertical upright (10) and is intended for the fitting of objects, the upright (10) having a round cross-section. Provided for mounting purposes is a tube (17) which is provided, at the lower end region, with retaining means (19) for the panel and its internal diameter is greater than the external diameter of the upright (10) enclosed by it. Provided on the upright (10) is a displaceable, first bearing ring (13) which can be fixed in various positions and, in the mounted state, penetrates at least partially into the tube (17) from beneath, centres it and bears on the tube shoulder (18). Provided at the upper tube end is a releasably fixable, second bearing ring (23) which bears slidingly on the upright (10) and forms a fastening location for reinforcing elements (26) fixed on the outer border region of the panel (21). This arrangement can, in a simple manner, be rapidly and cost-effectively mounted and demounted essentially by means of plugging together. <IMAGE>
