Excess energy produced by a wind powered generator is stored by converting electrical energy into heat which is used to dry zeolite or silica gel charged with water. The stored energy may be used at any time in the form of heat by passing humid air over the dried zeolite or silica gel which recharges it with water and simultaneously liberates heat.
