PURPOSE:To enable treatment under condition of small temp. difference between center part and edge part in a cast slab by specifying roll interval reducing section, adjusting drawing speed and forming bulging part in the cross sectional shape of the cast slab at the center part. CONSTITUTION:A cooling supporting guide device 22 connecting with a mold 21 is divided into roll interval constant section A, roll interval increasing section B, interval keeping section C, interval reducing section D and interval constant section E to the end part in order. In this continuous casting apparatus, molten steel 23 is continuously poured into the mold 21, and the cast slab 24 including unsolidified part therein is drawn from the bottom part of the mold 21 through the cast slab cooling supporting guide device composed of the roll group. At first, the solidified shell in the cast slab 24 is made to thicker at the roll interval constant section A and the bulging part is formed at the center part in the cross sectional shape of the cast slab at the increasing section B and the bulging part is kept at the interval keeping section C and this is adjusted to the prescribed bulging part at the reducing section D. Under this condition, this is carried to the last interval constant section E. In this case, the roll interval is made to set in the range of 1.005-1.05 times of the prescribed reference interval. |
