PURPOSE: To increase the band width of video signal components, and to minimize interference on audio signal components by applying an adaptive LPF to a luminance signal. CONSTITUTION: A synchronizing information input 12, chroma input 14, and luminance input 16 are applied to a processor 10. The inputs 12 and 14 are supplied through LPF 20 and 24 to an adder 22. The COM-processed luminance information of the input 16 is supplied to an LPF 28, HPF 30, and control signal generator 32 in an adaptive LPF 26. The characteristics of the LPF 28 and the HPF 30 are complementarily set. A control signal from the generator 32 is applied to a soft switch limiter 36, the output of the HPF 30 is amplitude- limited, and the limited output is connected with the output of the LPF 28 in a proper phase relation by an adder 34, and transmitted to an adder 22. A composite video signal is formed by the adder 22, and transmitted. |
