<p>A mowing machine comprises a crusher member (18) driven about a shaft (20) extending transversely to the direction of operative travel. The crusher member (18) co-operates with a plurality of individually adjusting co-operating members (19) to realize a more uniform crushing action in the case that the thickness of the crop flow to be crushed is not the same along the entire width of the machine. To ensure a light construction the crusher member (18) includes a tubular construction (21) which is fitted with plate-shaped blades (22).</p> |
