PURPOSE:To accurately determine the state of urgent acceleration during the running of a car, by counting the number of times exceeding a predetermined value in the ratio of change in the rotary number of an engine at the time of accelerating operation. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 10 reads the rotary number of an engine 1 from a rotation detecting sensor 13 through an input port 11 and further reads the output of a load sensor 14 through said input port 11 and calculates the differentiation value of the output of the load sensor 14 to detect whether the engine is under an acceleration state or not. In case of the acceleration state, the microcomputer 10 reads the output of the rotation detecting sensor 13 through the input port 11 to calculate the ratio of the change in the rotation number of the engine 1 and counts the number of times exceeding a predetermined value in the calculated value. This count value is printed by a printer 20 through an output port 12.
