PURPOSE:To improve operability as well as to prevent misdirection of paper feeding in an electrophotographic device for a copying machine or the like by installing a control means which detects the presence of paper on a paper feeder and rotates this paper feeder in the setting direction at time of no paper and, after paper supplying, rotates it in the same direction before being supplied. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit CPU 26 performs control for paper feeding depending on each signal being inputted out of an original size detecting sensor 27, a magnification setting key 28, a drive motor 20, first and second cassette direction detecting switches 21, 22 and a paper presence detecting sensor 23. Then, a cassette is rotated in the setting direction by the drive motor 20 when no paper signal is inputted out of the paper presence detecting sensor 23. As paper is supplied and thus the sensor 23 outputs a paper presence signal, the cassette is returned in the direction before the supply by the drive motor 20. With this constitution, operability is improved and also misdirection of paper feeding can be prevented. |
