PURPOSE:To improve sheet conveying performance by installing a progressive wave control means which controls the phase relation of a progressive wave so as to accord with both crests of the progressive wave to be formed in an elastic body, in a sheet conveying means. CONSTITUTION:When frequency voltage is impressed, vibrators 1, 2, 3 and 4 vibrate and elastic bodies 5, 6 are vibrated, forming a progressive wave, and an outer side of the bending has a velocity component in reverse to the forward direction of this progressive wave at all time, thereby feeding a sheet 9 in reverse to the forward direction of the progressive wave. In these elastic bodies 5, 5, in order to secure a vibration effect by lowering a neutral plane of thickness, a lot of vibrating reeds 5a, 6a are installed in a contact surface with the sheet 9 so as to accord with both projections in a vertical sense with the forward direction of the progressive wave. In addition, vibrators 1 and 3 as well as vibrators 2 and 4 are all attached to a symmetrical position with a surface of the sheet 9. With this constitution like this, wavelength and velocity of the progressive wave being formed respective vibrators are arranged properly, and such a phase relationship as according with crest to crest of respective progressive waves can be set up, thus sheet conveying performance can be improved. |
