PURPOSE:To obtain a feed having high safety and effective against infectious diseases of fish by compounding a feed with one or more kinds of vegetable essential oils or simple essential oil components separated and purified from an essential oil. CONSTITUTION:An essential oil is extracted from a vegetable by conventional means such as steam distillation or organic solvent extraction. The essential oil component is separated from a crude oil by molecular distillation, column chromatography, etc. The obtained essential oil or one or more kinds of the essential oil components are properly compounded to a conventional feed raw material such as vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, proteins and attracting substances for cultured fish to obtain the desired feed. |
