The device is for sucking up loosely poured prod. e.g. in a ships hold which can joined to a vertical outlet pipe lowered into the space. There is also a vehicle (1) with a construction (3) rotatable around a vertical axis w.r.t. a drive wheel chassis (2). The construction is connected to the suction pipe (8,10) so that it can be swung into various positions. The suction pipe is connected to the suction mouth (11) inside a cylindrical motor driven suction basket (15) supported so that it is rotatable about its centre line w.r.t. the mouth. The basket is provided on its outer surface with a V-shaped strip allowing a tilting movement of 20-60 deg. The mouth is connected to the pipe so that it can swing vertically around a horizontal axis (16) held or moved by hydraulic cylinders (55,53).
