A method for producing a reliable connection between a wheel disc 1 of a turbine, particularly of a compressor rotor, of titanium or a titanium alloy and a wheel disc 2 of a nickel alloy, comprises separating rigidly interconnected double-ring members from a double tube coaxially jointed by blast welding and of which one tube consists of titanium or a titanium alloy while the other tube is produced from nickel or a nickel alloy. One ring component on the titanium side is welded to the wheel disc 1 which is of like material while the other ring component on the nickel alloy side is welded to the other wheel disc 2 which is of a corresponding material. <IMAGE>
