<p>PURPOSE:To automatically discriminate the type of tapes easily during run, by calculating the sum of square of rotating period for supply reel shaft and winding reel shaft and collating the sum with a constant in response to the types of tapes. CONSTITUTION:Three optical reflecting bodies 12 and 13 are arranged to rotating bodies 10 and 11 rotated incorporatedly with a supply reel 1 and a winding reel 2 respectively at equal interval. The reflected light from the bodies 12 and 13 is detected at photoelectric conversion sensors 14 and 15. Thus, a rotation signal is outputted from the sensor 14 through the rotation of the supply reel 1 and rotation signal is outputted from the sensor 15 with the rotation of the winding reel 2. An operation device 16 consists of an operation sectin CPU, memories ROM and RAM, and input and output circuits I/O1-I/O6 and the like. Signals inputted to the input and output circuits I/O1-I/O6 are processed at the CPU by using data stored in the ROM and RAM and the result is outputted from the input and output circuit I/O4 and displayed on a display device 18.</p> |
